Accommodation
With a warm and relaxing atmosphere, Arundel Cottage is very well equipped whist retaining its original features and ties with the past.
The lounge and dining room both have wooden floors with antique rugs. There are two comfortable sofas where you can relax after a hard day, or browse through one of the numerous old books that line the shelves. Of course there are the usual colour television, DVD player, VCR, CD player and radio. The dining table seats four easily and there is also a high chair.
The country style kitchen has a large range style cooker (no you won't have to go on a course to learn how to cook on an AGA), it has a gas hob & electric fan oven. Lovely old pine dresser and a butler sink as well as a large fridge/freezer, microwave cooker and washing machine/tumble dryer. Tea towels provided. The use of gas and electricity is included in the tariff.
Outside is an enclosed pretty courtyard garden with bench and statue. There is also a retractable washing line to hang out those wet swim suits.
Also on the ground floor is the bathroom and toilet. Recently redecorated and benefiting from instant hot water delivered by a Combi boiler. The bath has a hand held shower attachment. Towels and bath mat for guest use are provided.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twins. Both have Victorian style cream bedsteads with patchwork quilts and antique furniture. Very quiet rooms as there is no passing traffic. From the double bedroom is a door leading up to the attic bedroom or nursery, furnished with a cot-bed to suit a baby or child up to about 5, baby changing unit with mat and rocking chair. All bed linen for guest use is provided.

Please note- Arundel Cottage is on a hill. As with any house of this age, expect some low doorways and steep stairs. Roadside parking.
